All About Mrs. Kalitzky
This is my 15th year teaching! I am a kindergarten/first grade looping teacher. I taught my first year at Irving Elementary in District 87 as a reading specialist. I then transferred to Oakland to teach kindergarten/first grade.
I grew up in Bloomington, Illinois and went to Unit 5 schools for grade school, junior high, and high school. I attended Illinois State University for my undergrad in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree in Reading at Illinois State University in May 2010. I also received my ELL certification in May 2012 from Illinois State University.
My husband, AJ works at State Farm. We have four beautiful children. Aubrey is 10 years old, Jonah is 8 years old, Emerson is 6.5 years old and Kate is 5 years old. Aubrey is in 5th grade, Jonah is in 3rd grade, Emerson is in 1st grade, and Kate is in kindergarten at Benjamin Elementary School. We have a cat named Scout and a chocolate lab named Remy. My children are the joys of my life and keep me very busy. In my free time I love spending time with my family, reading, and traveling.

All About Ms. Bauer
This student teaching experience is the last step I have before receiving my bachelors degree in early childhood education and an endorsement in special education at Illinois State University. I am very excited to be here at Oakland Elementary from now until the end of April.
I grew up in Princeton, IL which is a small town about an hour north of Bloomington Normal. My family consists of my parents, my younger sister who also attends ISU, and my younger brother who is a sophomore in high school. We also have two dogs Lola and Moe. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, shopping, and being outdoors. At ISU, I am involved with an educational fraternity Kappa Delta Epsilon and partners in reading.
